Wave Fibre Mill - 3-Ply Dorset Aran

This yarn is a deep natural cream colour of pure Dorset sheep's wool. The Dorset wool used is  from a sheep farm in McKellar, Ontario. The texture is not 100% smooth - there are some small spots where the yarn gets a touch thicker or thinner, or has small pieces of hay or grass, but that is part of the yarn's charm, having received minimal chemical processing. It still has much of the wool's original lanolin (oil) content that may soften your hands as you knit, and gives the yarn a unique 'spongy' texture. If you would prefer the wool without lanolin, the yarn comes in skeins so the skein can be washed before using. Using a de-greasing soap like dishsoap would help remove the natural oils.
