Ball band recommends for best result to machine wash on a permanent press or wool cycle, at a temperature not above 40C, and lay flat to dry. For a pair of average adult socks we recommend two or three balls. This ball band suggests a tension of 19 stitches to 4" using 4.50 - 5.00mm needles, which would perhaps be for a sweater, if you are making socks we recommend around a 3.50mm needle size.
